Hula Dancing:
Aloha! Capture the feeling of being in Hawaii—right here in Lake Tahoe! Hula is a graceful Hawaiian tradition where specific dance movements are choreographed to the lyrics in the music. Hip movements, footwork, and hand motions are combined to speed up your metabolism and target tone your entire body. It’s not as easy as it looks! Come and give it a try. Tahitian style of dance will also be taught.

Hula is open to ALL AGES so if you’re looking for something fun to do with your child why not try a Hula Session?

Instructor Laura Velasco
Laura began Hula dancing over 20 years ago in her native Mexico, of all places! After giving up dance for many years to focus on raising her son—she is back—and ready to share this incredible form of dance with you. She brings a sense of tradition with her in the clothing worn as well as the dances she will share. Laura’s teaching style is soft and full of laughter—but don’t let that fool you, she can shake those hips like you wouldn’t believe! Mahalo!
