Our certified instructors will work with you to achieve your fitness goals in an enthusiastic and playful environment focusing on positive reinforcement and support. We have the “best-of-the-best” when it comes to instructors and continuing education is extremely important to all of us at Vertical Fitness. Be assured all of our instructors are on the cutting edge of what’s new in fitness as well as our individual forms of dance instruction.

Chelsy Richardson

Chelsey's  pole journey began in 2012 in Orlando, Florida where she became an instructor at Allure Pole Studio. Fitness has always been important to her however, she has never been as passionate about anything as she is with pole fitness.

Cindy Coverdale

Cindy is passionate about Pole Fitness and captivated by what it has to offer: beauty, strength, flexibility, sensuality, and playfulness! She has studied with the finest pole dancers world-wide including: Fawnia Deitrich, Jenyne Butterfly, K.T. Coates, Michula Nunez, Jamilla DeVille, Alethea Austin and Sarah Cretul, solidifying her credentials as an instructor and inspiring herself as a dancer. 

Deborah Scarborough

Deborah first started practicing Yoga in 1998 when she started experiencing a lot of stress from a new career as a school teacher and was suffering from chronic pain from various injuries. She realized Yoga was something she could do for the rest of her life to be pain free, stay in shape, and maintain a state of wellbeing and balance in her body, mind, and spirit.

Jesalyn White

Jesalyn provides clients (classes and individuals) with Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin Yoga training and meditative techniques that promote deep relaxation, mindfulness, renewed energy, focus, balance, greater self-awareness and appreciation for one's self and others through asana, meditation and pranayama. She feels that the blend of Yin and Yang energies brings balance to the body and heals emotionally as well as physically.

Kellie Wynne

Kellie began taking pole dancing lessons in 2004 while in her home state of Virginia, and after the very first class she was hooked. Studying primarily with a teacher whose professional dance background was ballet and ballroom, Kellie's pole dancing style grew to become beautifully controlled and graceful. Kellie moved to the Lake Tahoe area in the summer of 2007 and is thrilled to now be instructing others in this new fitness related form of dance. She can't wait to pass along her love of pole dancing to her students!

Kirsten Gaudet

Kirsten’s strong foundation in dance enables her to incorporate many different styles of dance into routines and classes. Her background has also taught her the importance of proper pole technique for both beginners and advanced dancers. She believes that strength, flexibility, and musicality are key elements to pole dancing but the most important element is to have fun!

Marla Richardson

Marla is a professional dancer and has been teaching for the last 6 years. She has performed in India, studied Tai Chi in China, practiced Reiki in Eastern Europe, and Interned at Hot Yoga of New Zealand. She is a certified yoga teacher at the 200 hour level receiving her training in Guatemala, and holds a BA in International Affairs with a Minor in Dance. She looks forward to guiding you through your practice helping each student surrender thoughts from the mind tapping into the true essence of yoga, and bringing this with them outside of the classroom.

Mindy Wegener

Mindy Wegener began doing Pilates in 2001. Realizing it was an exercise program that she loved and would continue to do for the rest of her life she decided to gather the necessary certifications. She has a personal training certification from IFPA and is a member of IDEA Health and Fitness Association.

Rachel Field

Pole dancing is not only fitness for the body but also for the mind and spirit. She found that pole dancing has helped her tone her body, and, more importantly, she found herself more self-confident. She feels stronger, leaner, and more beautiful because of pole. In 2013 she competed in the Pole Sport Organization Competition taking home the silver medal in her level.

Sarah Roulias

Sarah began her training at the age of five studying Cecchetti Ballet, jazz and lyrical dance into her teen years, which created the foundation for everything she does today. At the age of twenty-two she began her first professional stage productions, working with Greg Thompson Productions, including Broadway ShowstoppersBarebackLet the Good Times Roll and Rock My Ride at Harrahs Reno. Since then she has been part of multiple productions includingStabile Productions X Burlesque, as well as BLV Productions Sapphire SirensNugget FolliesPersuasion andThe Biggest Little Side Show, as a featured dancer, aerialist and pole acrobat.

Shannon Barbour

Shannon has been practicing yoga for over 15 years. She received her RYT 200hour certification with Shaelah Morris at Studio Tahoe in Truckee, CA. She is a strong believer in balance of the mind, body and soul. Her entire career has been in the fast paced world of technology and practicing yoga has been her peace of mind and balance.

Wendy Scott

Wendy has been an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer since 2006. Her main focus is on core strengthening and stability while striving to provide a well-rounded program including cardio, strength training, flexibility, balance, posture, and breathing. It is important to Wendy to consider her client’s goals, needs, strengths, weaknesses, and injuries if any. Her goal is to help clients reach their maximum potential of healing, health and optimal well-being.
